Whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, and whatever things are of good report, if there is only virtue and if there’s anything praiseworthy- meditate on these things. That’s what Philippians 4:8 says. Now that we are Christians, we must make God our greatest desire and please Him with our actions, thoughts and words. 1 Corinthians 10:31 tells us that whatever we do, we must do it for His glory.
He is enthroned when we yield to His Lordship. He is always King. But at times, we struggle to grab from Him the throne of our life and ourselves king. Lots of factors are affecting Christian youth to be separated from God’s calling to them. These are the media, online-games, their vices, cell phones and other modern gadgets, studies and even their peers! They bring severe damages to one’s spiritual life if not well-managed! Too much addiction on these is a crime. We must remember at all times: “more of God and less of us”. Instead of wasting our time, why not stay in His presence? The church is the best place where we can experience His power, be inspired and be influenced by good thoughts and an instrument for our spiritual life to grow effectively and be matured. It is better to seek the glory of God rather than being dominated by all those factors that won’t bring us into happiness in the end! We must recognize that only God deserves to rule over us!
Never forget that our life’s purpose is to honor God. He must always be the center of our attention. We must allow ourselves to be transformed into His image so that He can move freely and mold us into His own design.
Make it our goal to glorify Him, give time to please Him and use every moment as an opportunity to walk in His ways!
